The album was her first to top the US Billboard 200, crossing over to reach #1 on the Top Country Albums chart as well. The album was also the first by a non-American artist to be nominated by the Country Music Association Awards for Album of the Year in 1974, achieving Gold certification by the RIAA in the US. Two hit singles were released from the album, with the title track peaking at #5 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
