@danaveit They are a man made faux suede in the front and spandex on the back. I tried the 7.5 on and measured around and it measured 15. The spandex should stretch to fit the leg so it may measure differently on different people. When I measured the calf without it being on , it measured 13.2. It stretches to fit but seems to be a slim cut so that they stay up. I hope this helps.😊💕
