They are intended to be BAGGY, however they have clearly sized this simply by the waist size (e.g., a size 28/6 is truly 28 in around and thus is likely worn on a smaller/the smallest part of your waist, especially with a 12.5 in rise). If you look at their website these will not wear anything like the photos unless you by by measurements versus listed size.
