me and one of my sons on unearthed this unique specimen Michigan native copper from the Upper peninsula of Michigan it's very time consuming and a lot goes into it more than people think trying to keep this simple and easy through metal detecting some specimens take several hours to not only find but even digging them out effectively depending on what type of clay & rocks that you're removing them from. in situations where it's extremely Rocky you do not want to damage the specimen in that case it's time consuming but believe you me this is a lot of fun and I love doing it!
Michigan float copper refers to large, native copper deposits stripped from their original locations by ancient glaciers and then transported, or "floated," by glacial meltwater and erosion, eventually settling in riverbeds and soil in the western Upper Peninsula. These copper nuggets, varying in size from ounces to tons, were crucial in sparking the 1840s copper mining rush and are now significant geological specimens and historical artifacts, with some giant examples on display in the region. Enhance your space with this unique rustic art piece featuring earthy green and brown tones. Perfect for adding a natural touch to your home decor.
