Mid Century Barbini Murano Orange White Gold Flecks Italian Art Glass Bowl

We are a smoke free, pet friendly home. Pre-owned, great used condition. Vintage 50s 60s. Made in Italy. Very heavy and thick piece. Some minor scuffs on the polished pontil mark underneath, see 2nd to last picture. This Murano Italian art glass decorative bowl/ashtray is documented to glass artist designer Alfredo Barbini, circa 1950-1960. It is a published design, see the last picture for documentation. This gorgeous hand-blown bowl showcases the Sommerso technique, featuring a persimmon orange over lattimo as described in the catalog. The bowl has pinched rims and is covered in gold leaf throughout both sides. Measures 6.5” long x 6.5” wide x 2.5” high. No visible flea bites/chips, cracks or crazing.
