Beautiful 1984 studio pottery pitcher by renowned California ceramic artist Marnie Turkel. This hand-thrown piece stands approximately 8 inches tall and 3.5 inches wide. Crafted from red clay, it features a matte black glaze with an incised and textured red clay vine and leaf design wrapping the body. Signed "Turkel '84" on the base. Turkel is celebrated for her functional and elegant ceramic forms. This piece is a wonderful example of her early work and would make a great addition to any collection of American studio pottery.
