timgeist Dude, beautiful! I'm guessing they'd be a bit big on me. I need to wear pretty thick socks for the spruce Allens to fit. (Got them on right now!)

esco1940 @timgeist really? i wouldnt have thought they'd be big on you since they were snug as well. that being said, kudu is similar to cxl in tgat it can be forgiving and stretch a bit. Were they big in width or length? but to answer your question, i would say these are very similar to parkhurst in sizing.

esco1940 @timgeist (i saw a post yesterday of someone wearing spruce and i almost shed a tear. the makeup is just too sick!) and not gonna lie, freaking love these but as the description said, i picked up some nicks in predator orange so someone will love these for sure

timgeist @esco1940 I would've thought they would've fit more like my Delawares, but it could be the difference between lined and unlined (although all Parkhurst boots are now unlined, even the Delawares). Maybe the issue is that their last is D-E width, which is a bit wide. I tried my son's 10.5 Parkhursts on, but there just wasn't quite enough length for any toe wiggle room. I think Andrew will eventually have to offer more widths.

timgeist @esco1940 I have about three different pair of green chinos/slacks I wear to work, and the spruce kudus look fantastic!

esco1940 @timgeist nice!!!! glad to hear it! sucks about the sizing issues :/. his new last is supposed to be SLIGHTLY roomoer by millimeters jaja. not sure it makes a huge diffrrencr but yeah. in any case, if you wanna steal these from me, im sure we can work something out

timgeist @esco1940 Love the looks! My wife would say they look just like my Alfred Sargent tan Cambridge boots...

esco1940 @timgeist hey, came in looking at what i had listed and didnt remember you checking these out. i honestly love the color, but i think the right laces would really take these boots to anothet level. just might take these off the market (did just that with the GS loden suede) if i can find the right laces. But, in that same token, i can do like the spruce and do 228 shipped if you were still intetested.

timgeist @esco1940 These are beautiful boots! Judging from your listing sizes and the fit of the spruce boots, I think you're about a half size bigger than me. If these fit you like the spruce, these would likely be a tad loose on me.

esco1940 @timgeist i honestly havent worn these in ages. ill check later tonight and give you feedback. i think one of the "issues" with parkhurst is either high instep or long faces. but if i recall correctly, these fitted tighter out the box than the spruce. nonetheless ill check them out and let you know

esco1940 @timgeist finally got a chance to try them on again. i can absolutely say without a shadow of a doubt a 10.5 would not fit me. if anythibg, length wise these seem maybe about .25inches shorter than the parkhurst. width feels just about the same but hugs my heel a lil tighter. all in all. not TOO different from parkhurst but honestly, i cant do 10.5 in those either. maybe ill just get lucky and tind some good laces for these

timgeist @esco1940 Appreciate the detailed fit description! Sounds like they'd fit me a bit better than the spruce Allens, but still requiring thick socks - not necessarily a show stopper if I chance upon the spare cash. Maybe my wife will want to buy them for my October birthday! For now, I'd work them into my rotation if I were you, even if you eventually sell them! They'd pop great with some navy chinos.

esco1940 @timgeist loce ir, thanks for the tip! what color laces you think? i love olive but thinking thay'll make it harder to match up with clothing
Aug 17Reply
timgeist
timgeist @esco1940 If I was going to primarily wear them with navy chinos (and/or jeans), I think guarded goods' sapphire (dark blue) laces would be fun to try.

tlacoe
tlacoe Hello, I have a question about sizing. How would you say they compare to other boots, such as Parkhurst and Grantstone? I have a pair of Parkhurst in size 11 but they are just slightly too small. The Grantstones I have are 11.5D and they fit great. Thanks.

esco1940
esco1940 @tlacoe hello there. if you are a GS 11.5, and they fit Perfect, then these may be too small for you. if you have room in them, then these may fit perfect / snug. Mark albert suggest 1 size down from your average running or sneaker size. hopefully that helps
Dec 07Reply
tlacoe
tlacoe @esco1940 thank you for the info. I did see they said size down a full size on their website. I think these would be slightly snug for my liking. Thanks for the reply.

sabellaapparel How do these compare to Viberg in sizing?
Oct 09Reply
esco1940
esco1940 @sabellaapparel hey there, just saw your message. depends which last your talking about. id say pretty darn close to 2020 at half down from brannock.

sabellaapparel
sabellaapparel I am a 9 or 9.5 in Viberg so these would probably run big.
