This Black Velvet Stage Coat is the same design that Rock and Roll Religion had been making for several years(limited quantities) and sold out of each year(purchased at English Laundry $999). It is made along the same lines as one of the coats worn by Jimi Hendrix. A tribute to the Guitar Legend. This coat is no longer produced and has not been in years. This gorgeous burgundy(eggplant purple)Velvet Coat is 100% high quality Cotton Velvet and is fully lined in Black Poly Satin. The metal buttons have a crest design on them. There are seven buttons up each side of this Jimi Hendrix Velvet Stage Coat, one metal button on each collar lapel and four on each sleeve cuff. Gorgeous brocade braiding accentuates the decorative metal buttons and the back has a split vent for style and comfort. The cool metal buttons and brocading are entirely decorative accents as the coat is meant to be worn open, but it has hook and eye for closure. This coat is not manufactured anymore and you will not find it again. It is very rare and very foxy! It has a slight scuff along waistline side(see last photo).
