Stunning clear glass butter dish with detailed patterns. Ideal for serving and display. This is a vintage covered butter dish made by the Imperial Glass Company. The pattern is known as "Cosmos" or "La Rochelle". The dish is made of clear, pressed glass. It features a starburst and floral design on both the domed lid and the square base. The edges are crimped or scalloped, and the lid has a faceted finial. The dish was designed to hold a stick of butter or a small cheese ball.
