For those of you not aware my husband was diagnosed with this cancer this year. It’s been a long journey with a tracheotomy a feeding tube, chemo, radiation and some set backs. But he is on the mend now! Thank you for all the prayers!❤️ #cancersucks

sherid10 Prayers dear girl. I lost a loved on this year to the evil beast, cancer. Diagnosed and 7 months later gone. Just turned 60. It’s ugly. It’s awful. I hate cancer. Must find a cure. So glad your husband is on the mend.

I lost my Dad yo cancer (the beast) he was only 57, my husband has had Cancer 4 times and is a “holding” stage now not in remission because 1 lump refuses to go away but it is small 🙏 just lost my cousin age 68 2 weeks ago to the BEAST it’s awful I hate it you are right it Sucks!!! I am 2 yrs free of cancer after 11 chemos and 33 rad treatments. Where there's a will there's a way! Stay strong my fellow warrior! You got this! Believe in the power of prayer! r8rgirl4life @gg2009 that’s amazing thank you!! Congratulations!! Yes my husband has exactly the same thing as you his last treatment was the last week in May of this year. He too had chemo and radiation. He also had a tracheotomy and a feeding tube. But with Gods Grace the treatments seemed to have worked! Thank for sharing with us! I will pray for you to continue to be cancer free!! You too are a warrior stay strong!! ❤️❤️

wanderinghippie @r8rgirl4life I finished my treatments feb 2018. I had a feeding tube as well but no trache. The fight is hard but worth it. I had a 1% chance and here I am. Warrior strong always! Stay strong and never give up your fight!

It’s hard to watch a loved one deal with cancer my daddy passed away from lung and bone cancer and 8 months later my momma passed away from ovarian cancer. I miss them so much everyday. 😢🙏🏻

luckykeno7 So sorry your husband had to go thru this but thank God he is on the mend. I had ovarian cancer and had 15% survival rate. It’s 12 years now and have been cancer free for 10 years. Think positive and we can all beat this horrible disease❤️

blueb1rds @r8rgirl4life Hi...I noticed this. Now I know what “my” ribbon should look like. Our YMCA has a program called Live strong where cancer survivors join for free for 8 weeks and we try to combat the effects of chemo radiation. Everybody was picking up their ribbon for a drawing and also to pin on the wall but they didn’t have any for head/neck🤨 cause it isn’t very well known. But it is absolutely LIFE changing.

blueb1rds I am coming up on a year in December for the surgery, but treatment went into end of March and recovery is ongoing... I am home today following on PM... not any energy to go anywhere, but this really helps distract me. Glad to hear your husband is recovering. I will pray for him. Prayer, nutrition and doctors taking care of my “bumps in the road” all contribute to my slow but continual improvement. My husband and older kids all contributed much needed care

ally_marc @r8rgirl4life I’m sorry you’re going through this, I know too well it is awful. My dad passed away with colon cancer. When he was diagnosed they only gave him 6 months but he had 7 good years, because of his faith & big fight. Pray & Stay strong & fight it. My mom had ovarian cancer she wasn’t suppose to make it but she fought and stayed with us for three years she has been an angel now for 15 years. r8rgirl4life @angelinas_rack im here for you that’s what my husband had as well but his spread to his lymph nodes in his neck. He did radiation and chemo. Does he have a tracheotomy or feeding tube? He is 5 months out now and doing better it’s tough and he still can not taste much food and he’s learning how to breath and swallow properly but his tumor on his tonsil is gone! fingers crossed he has a pet scan in December

angelinas_rack @r8rgirl4life That is wonderful news. It is amazing that your Eddie Bauer jacket brought us to know each other and we have something like tonsil cancer in common. I never even knew it existed until November. It was meant for me to have that jacket I guess. I don't need to be buying anything right now, but it is so nice and I love Eddie Bauer jackets. I needed something to make me feel better.

cynduf88 So sorry to hear about the cancer. It is an awful disease. I lost my mom to cancer this year She was a 38 year survivor of breast cancer but unfortunately died from renal cell carcinoma. She died after being diagnosed within 3 months. I took a leave of absence from work and cared for her and would not have traded that in for the world. She was my best friend. I pray for your family and for a full recovery for your husband.

blueb1rds @angelinas_rack @angelinas_rack Hi couldn’t help but notice this comment. Today is the year anniversary of a surgery I had to remove cancer from my tongue and lymph nodes. I had pic line and feeding tube., chemo and radiation. The feeding tube saved me since I was able to get pain meds and nutrition.

blueb1rds Nutrition and prayer pulled me through. No feeding tube and no pic line now. Just getting stronger, but had a setback a few weeks ago and will get a port and will continue with immunotherapy, but not such difficult side effects
