bellafaith148 @sarahulsman hey girl, so it is true that some. Fabrics do not take die well, and some do not at all. Fortunately though Ritz made a new die called dye more that can be used to die even synthetic fabrics. They also have a dye remover that you could use in worst case scenario so remember nothing is permanent especially if you're starting from white…

bellafaith148 You can always bleach and start over. Once you begin dying an item you can tell immediately whether The fabric will take dye or not. If you can tell for example the die is just running off of it and not working at all then you can. Throw it in the sink add some dishwashing detergent and soap it up really good and rinse then put it in the wash, no color will stay unless you give it a bit to set so work quickly.

bellafaith148 I have experimented before and use the Ritz regular die on fabrics that wasn't necessarily meant for and it still turned out pretty cool. Maybe a different shade than I was expecting but always beautiful!

bellafaith148 @sarahulsman aww thank you sooo much girl! I'm sure you read it in a previous post but let me just give me the breakdown of what I do to make sure there's no spots. First of all wet whatever you're dying thoroughly** (very important)

bellafaith148 then I mix a bucket of hot water and pour in some non-iodized salt then mix that up really good then I pour in my dye and mix really really well. I mix in all directions to make sure it's very mixed. Then I put my slip in and I wear gloves and use my hands to move it every 2 minutes or so to make sure every inch of the dress is soaked in the dye. Then once you're all finished and you're satisfied with the color

bellafaith148 (keep in mind it will fade a bit after you wash it so you'll want to go a little darker at first) then I throw it in the washing machine on a low cycle cold water , no soap and when it's finished I hang dry and Tadaaaaa!! A custom creation by you!!
