Exquisite 1950’s Aqua Velvet midi flare party dress

Crazily enough, I earned this fab dress by Teena Paige as an award at work. I have protected it and cared for it like a dear friend. This scrumptious, soft aqua velvet, tank, A-line flare dress is a is a gem of 1950’s elegant party fashion and features eye-catching metal and glass crystal flower accents sewn onto the shoulders (the straps look like they should unbutton but they don’t, they’re sewn), a unique scoop v cut on the bust, a flattering fitted waist with a flare skirt that bells out beautifully, a left side zipper, and a silky feel strip of chest liner fabric in a soft cornflower blue. The inside of the velvet fabric feels to be a soft cotton, but the outer velvet is so high quality and yummy. This treasure is in nearly immaculate condition for being over 70 years old!! You won’t be seeing fast fashion hold up like this has. There are a few of the little crystals missing from the shoulder accents (pictured) Theres’s the very slightest fraying of the chest- V thread (pictured) and there are a few spots of the velvet that are ever so slightly faded by the sun. It is a breathtaking piece of fashion. The tag says sz-7 I’d call it XS. I include this disclaimer on pieces that really have a piece of my heart: I’m not budging much on this price. This dress is rare and gorgeous- you know it, I know it. So please understand that it’s very hard for me to part ways with and so I’ll not be taking any low offers.
