Erica's Sea Shell & Hand Carved Animal Wreath

So she hands me this wreath. I knew it was awesome from the start. I mean, look at it. So I ask her, "What do you want me to do w/ it?" "Get it out of my way! I NEED to make more before I explode!" That's Erica. A real spitfire, with a well of creative energy that simply needs to be released. The cat was hand carved by a Hawaiian cowboy (or Paniolo) on the island of Molokai whom likes to carve on his breaks. Her parents visited the island every year and gave her this piece. She got the hand carved whale from her father's estate and believes it was carved by the same Paniolo. I told her that I would just sell it. "Do with it as you please", she says. I wanted to razz her a bit so I said, "What about the extra glue. It looks a little sloppy." "It's just part of my process", she gruffly fires back. "So what do I tell the people who are interested?" "Tell them it was made by Erica!" Gotta love her! This beautiful sea themed wreath is made of clothes pins around a wire frame. The starfish, coral, and sea shells are all real, some of which are of real interest to collectors. In fact, besides the original hand carvings, there are some real nice pieces attached. She does not covet things. When the urge strikes she uses whatever is at hand to bring her inspiration to life, whether it is worth one dollar or 100 dollars. Such is her passion.
