Rare black vintage with nude lace bosom accent original Dorothy O’Hara (known in Hollywood as “The Sculptress”) highly collectible cocktail dress from Charles Berg “Smart Shop” in Portland, Oregon.
Iconic piece of fashion history and glamour.
Late 1940s-1950s dinner/cocktail dress from the great Dorothy O’Hara, known for her prominence as designer for Paramount Studios. She was known for figure flattering empowering dressing. Clever use of a subtle draping technique descends from the sheer fabric sleeves made with black lace bust treatment over nude fabric and gentle draping from bosom to hem. Velvet ribbon and bow trim ribcage to bust. Hidden zipper with additional hook and eye closures.
