I do not believe this to be an authentic LV as I can’t find any kind of date code on it but I do know that the leather is real, there’s no question about that as it has a beautiful patina. It came with what appears to be a pretty heavy duty LV lock (no key) and it also says “Fiocchi Italy” under two of the studs inside the bag.

I would say that the name on the rivets is not the right font; the rivets are not all brass, the lining is sewn so the canvas shows under it, and there is more than one color thread on the bag. For these reasons, I would say it’s not authentic… But having said that, enjoy it for what it is. 🌸

princessminou33 @marysmarket872 do you have an Android smart phone? if yes... go to play store and search "Google lens" download that application. Open the app and it will let you take a picture of your bag. when it does, it will come up showing information and pictures of your type bag.

lbaldwin123 @marysmarket872 hi I noticed your comment about I- phone & you should be able to go to you App Store icon (blue & white design)- click on it and at the bottom you’ll see a place to search for different apps. Click on the magnifying glass (search) and input the Google lens app name that was mentioned as an idea to try. From there you should be able to download it on your phone- then when it’s done downloading, open it & try! Hope it works. Feel free to ask ? If you have trouble with it

lyndzeedoodlex @marysmarket872 call up the louis vuitton store nearest you and ask if you can have them check to see if your bag is authentic or not. i used to work in the mall and my friend who also worked there said people would do that a lot. maybe they can shine some light ❤️

abunnischenz I agree with the last comment. Seems like a lot of people commenting don’t know their vintage. I’d google vintage lv speedy bags. Date codes weren’t added until the early 80s. I collect vintage LV, with the font & all of the details this seems authentic. I’m sure for people who comment on here and they’re trying to compare to more recent styles, yes details are different now. You can also find blogs that share a great deal about vintage lv with pictures.
