Charming 1988 David Eldreth stoneware Santa crock featuring his classic cobalt blue slip-trailed decoration. This hand-thrown piece shows Eldreth's signature folk-art style with a robed Santa motif framed by pine boughs, all against a salt-glazed gray stoneware body. A wonderful collectible example from the Nottingham, Pennsylvania workshop. The base is clearly incised "1988 David Eldreth Nottingham PA," confirming early production from his most desirable era. Condition: Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Light interior and base wear consistent with handmade stoneware.
