This is a vitreous inkwell bottle made in the 1800s. It was made by Denby pottery for P & J Arnold and Sons. It used to hold ink or was intended to. It is very clean. I don’t see any remnants of ink. There are a few chips on the bottom surface. Be sure to look at the pictures. They made many of these, but not many are still around. It’s a bit of salt glaze English history. Made in London England. This piece will look very beautiful styling it on a wooden shelf.
