Just make sure to go to all my fave restaurants when you're down here: Thai Bistro, Delicias Latinas, Kazu's Sushi, and Johnny Grits (all on Main Street in NPR) and Havana Dreamers and Thai Samurai in Trinity (on your way to those luscious beaches in northern Pinellas County). : ) : ): ) Hungry yet?

@glimmergirl61 Thank you kindly! It is Honeymoon Island, about a half an hour south of me off Dunedin Beach, Florida. I'm about a mile inland from the Gulf of Mexico in Port Richey. Honeymoon Island is Florida state park and completely unspoiled. I highly recommend it!

My husband is going to retire and we hope to start some kind of business. We have briefly looked at a few places but most we have looked the homes start at 500k!

Love beaches and Disney would love to be close to both but not in the middle of it all. Love any kind of springs. Don’t mind driving an hour to a beach or Disney. Main goal is to be near a great beach we could live without being super close to the mouse! 💕😊🌷thanks for any and all help!

@lolas_boutique_ Hi, Lola, not to be nosy, but it would help to know your budget for a home, and also what you are looking for in my beautiful state. Different parts of Florida in terms of lifestyle and culture are as different as night from day. If you would like to retain some of the graciousness and charm of the Deep South, then there are some parts in which you'd feel right at home, and other places would not feel comfortable for you.

@tcflorida hi yes around 300k. We are up for most anywhere except Miami and places like that. We LOVE the beaches particularly on the gulf side but not right in the middle of it. Like not in pcb. We love to visit pcb but wouldn’t want to live there. Somewhere close to the action but yet quiet still but not too far from civilization lol.

@tcflorida We want to be safe for our young grandkids. We would love a condo or house right on a beach but can’t afford it anywhere. My fav beach is Jacksonville! Love shark tooth hunting lol. We are up for any part of Florida. We are not tied down anywhere. I love the looks of the beach you have in photos. It’s a private beach I know . I thought of Jupiter but it’s way out of our league!

My husband will have full access to his retirement funds. I wish we knew someone to talk to about the best business to start. We are just lost! But know we want to make this move! @lolas_boutique_ Ok, got it. What's more important to you, being close to a great beach, or the quality of your family life? I may not be able to find you both within your budget. Also, most public schools in Florida are rubbish. Please strongly consider homeschooling your grandkids if you have not already. *That* is a second career that doesn't pay well, but the rewards are eternal.
