It is midnight blue (dark blue -- almost black) with a brown-tinged interior so that rolling the sleeves to show its brown cuff adds a cool, unusual element. It is versatile in that the dark color gives it a dressier look than a worn/faded lighter denim but it is still denim and can definitely be worn casually. In the sunlight (as you can see in the picture) it changes personality a bit and lightens up allowing the brown interior to show itself subtly through the fabric's weave.
