This is a "wiggle" style dress made popular in the 50's with the trumpet skirt allowing freedom of movement. See last photo for measurements.

snowskitten @davidvaughn46 I think it would fit just fine. It has a lot of stretch to it so even if your hips are a bit curvier than most sizes 6s it should fit your form.

snowskitten @dnmartin237 it has some stretch to it. It's not binding like a corset, but it's not a stretch-to-fit-bodycon, either. It is in between with a few inches of give.
