Black Star Sapphire Filagree Sterling Silver Ring

Beautiful 7mm x 5mm genuine black star sapphire in an imperfect bezel setting (I was practicing setting stones)—dented silver giving stamped sterling silver filagree a funky edge. The rare stone’s—may be heat and/or diffusion treated—6-rayed star shows on top, and when rotated, slides down behind a black-lined screen—silk rutile lines causing a unique effect: asterism! Ring came with a small black stone (type unknown) missing; replaced with a black sequin—extras included. COOL ring! Disclaimer: I’m not a gemologist—I’ve collected black star sapphires over the years and have never come across a lab-grown one, so my own research leads me to believing they’re natural, but please note that I’m not a professional.
