As soon as I see a purchase, I pack it up immediately and schedule the post office to pick it up the next business day. I love to do this, can't wait for my customers to receive their package, and hopefully love their new item. I usually don't have an issue. I've called USPS and documented that it has affected at least 5 of my customers. They did say it's happening all over the country.
