This Chocs en Plumes design by Christiane Vauzelles was first published by Hermès in 1993. Excellent condition, scarf clip or Box does NOT come with item(check out other listing) Scarf retails $1300 The pleated style, known as a Plissé scarf, indicates this particular piece was made during the original 1993 run or a reissue in 1996. That makes the piece roughly 30 to 33 years old. The layout was created by Christiane Vauzelles, a celebrated and prolific house artist for Hermès. First released for the Fall/Winter 1993/1994 season, the artwork celebrates the elaborate world of medieval jousting and knightly tournaments. The panels depict: * Knights in full armor charging forward on armored steeds. * Intricate ceremonial horse armor, called caparisons. * Massive, dramatic plumes of feathers adorning the helmets, which give the scarf its name.
