Artist Signed Blue & White Spongeware Barrow House Inn St. Francisville Louisiana Souvenir Coffee Cup Mug . This Prairie Spongeware Ceramic Mug is in new condition. Hasn’t been used. Just under 4” X 3.5” • The mug is made of stoneware and features a blue and white Folk Art sponge ware pattern. • The spongeware pattern is created by applying a cobalt slip to the stoneware with a sponge before it is dipped in a white glaze. • The mug has a salt glaze finish and an impressed backstamp. • It is described as a vintage art pottery piece. I can’t make out the artist’s name but it is signed. Purchased from a BB stay at Barrow House Inn. Nice heavy weight .
