Artisan size 7 square ring

I bought this unique piece from an art vendor in Hawaii. I’m not sure what the embedded pieces are but some are matte and some are iridescent. There’s some sort of lacquer on top giving it a smooth appearance. I only wore this a few times. Looks about a 7 from the ring sizer.
