Antique Visible Glass Wall Mount Mailbox

Depression era transparent pressed glass mailbox with metal fittings intact. The Visible Mailbox was porch mounted, and designed so that the homeowner could view the box from the comfort of their home. The metal top flipped up for mail delivery, and the metal bottom was pulled down to retrieve the mail. This mailbox is 13 inches tall from the top of the closed lid to the bottom of the mounting bracket on the base, it is 6 inches wide and 4 1/8 inches deep at the base. In very good antique condition with all metal fittings present and no cracks or chips to the transparent pressed glass. This is a collectible item that is fun for repurposing.
