Good condition for being this vintage: some chips around the fluted edge, which add character. Some time-related patina. No cracks in the vase body. A fanciful flight of imagination, color and whimsy embue this scallop-edged vase with molded handles. The typical hand painting has been enlivened with deftly carved outlines of birds, grapes, pears and plants. These have been filled in with cheerful tones of light yellow, ochre, green, purple, sky blue and pink. A pink bird and a yellow one. Incised on base with "Italy" and "49".
