Alice became an inspiration of the arts as is evidenced by the significance of the original painting Alice Blue Gown. Favoring a blue azure tinted dress, the lady and her dress would spur musicals and songs and art. As attention to the color rose, the dress color would later be named "Alice Blue" after Alice.
