Longquan celadon is known for its pale blue-green color, which resembles jade. The kilns that produced these ceramics were primarily located in southwestern Zhejiang Province, China, and were active from about 950 to 1550.
Jarlets of this type were often used for storing precious goods such as cosmetics, medicine, or tea.
The wares were highly prized and were exported widely throughout Asia and the Middle East.
