Antique Bronze Book End-Rodin The Thinker (the thinking man)

Circa 1910 to 1920, appraised around $350 for the pair. Both professionals that examined these pieces agreed that they are not considered to be reproductions, even though the design itself is in fact, a reproduction of the original statue. Additional pictures are available upon request. The previous owner had claimed that these are made by S. Morani- an artist known for items such as these. Because there is no physical proof of this unfortunately, it holds the value at a much lower price point. If someone wanted to spend the time and money to verify that these are in fact S. Morani pieces, the pair of these would be valued at well over $1000. The majority of merchandise that I deal with comes from estate sales and antique/heirloom situations. Because of this, I can only invest so much time and money into each item. Because of that, I’m letting these go for far less than what they were appraised for.
