becks2407 I didn't realize skin care and fragrances weren't allowed. I've purchased several and listed a few . Thanks for the heads up.

starbabyonline @becks2407 Yep, they're both in Poshmark's list of non-allowed items. Also, it is illegal to Priority ship anything with alcohol in it, like perfume. You're welcome. There are *so* many closets I don't follow, share, or buy from because these items are in them.

starbabyonline @becks2407 Also, in listing anything mentioned in my description, you risk getting your closet shut down by Poshmark.

starbabyonline @ginmett You're quite welcome. Thankfully, it was explained to me early on, so I was never worried about my closet not being compliant. You miss out on so many people not returning shared, or even follows, if your closet is not compliant, besides the fact that Posh could shut you down entirely. I'm glad it was helpful to you! If you have any questions about listing, just let me know?

dejavue22 @starbabyonline I see the part about shipping! I missed that part! Thank you for letting me know that I will remove that listing! Just when I thought I had it all correct too lol I am getting irritated by the number of people who use 🅿️🅿️ and offer less that does not serve anyone on here and defeats the purpose!

starbabyonline @dejavue22 Glad I could help. Having a Posh-compliant closet will drastically increase shares of your closet, and allow you to participate in more structured daily or weekly SGs when/if you're interested.

dejavue22 @starbabyonline Thank you for your help!😊

starbabyonline @dejavue22 You have to learn to not take anything personally on here or any selling platform. I've been selling online since '97 so I think I've encountered every good & bad selling experience there is. Thankfully, back when I started selling online, I got picked for a closed invite-only group and learned from the best of the best ethical sellers in the country. I'm still friends with most of amazing group.

dejavue22 @starbabyonline Goodness no! But always good to know other people are looking out for you! You rock!

dejavue22 So the Share group sounds like it would be a good thing to take part in do you have them like parties or is it something else I haven't come across yet..?!

starbabyonline
starbabyonline @dejavue22 They are in abundance throughout Posh. I have listings of some of my favorite SGs in my closet as posts. Some, you can sign up daily, some are weekly (every day of the week, assigned in advance), and some are bi-weekly. I joined Posh last Fall, but never knew SGs existed (or even that it was good to share!) until December. I messed up royally in the first one I joined too because I didn't understand it. LOL. (con't...)
Aug 10Reply
starbabyonline
starbabyonline @dejavue22 Whichever one(s) you find that suit you, you follow the rules of the group and share each compliant Posher who signs up for that day by the closing time of the group, which varies. For example, say 10 people sign up in a SG wich has 8 shares for the day. You would share 8 items from each signed-up Posher, and they would do the same for you and everyone else signed up. My spoonie group is a good place to get practice because I really don't have any rules except compliance.
Aug 10Reply
starbabyonline
starbabyonline @dejavue22 Most SG's will have an announcement at the "closed" time. Some group leaders will tag everyone signed up, some just post "closed". It is up to you to complete your shares by the time listed and sign out saying you've completed your shares. Look in my "likes" to see the groups I shared in today to get an idea of how they work.

sdmboutique
sdmboutique THANK YOU FOR YOUR MESSAGE! It would be nice if all Poshers read the rules. I too will only follow, share and buy from compliant closets. I hope people report non compliant ones so the reputation remains intact. Best wishes!
Jun 28Reply
starbabyonline
starbabyonline @sdmboutique yep, it's irritating as heck seeing people list like they're on another platform like the ones that start with an e or an m. And yes, I report as well. It's ridiculously confusing for newbies who see others listing all sorts of crap and think they can too.
Jun 28Reply
starbabyonline
starbabyonline @kitty2528 yep, there's a screenshot of it under this post. Look at the images from Posh's TOS.
Sep 11Reply
starbabyonline
starbabyonline @marindap it's Poshmark's rules, not mine. Take it up with them. Until they okay those things on this platform, you are in violation of you list them.

nyposhboss Hi! I hope you are enjoying Poshmark as much as I do. It is a wonderful online community. Feel free to browse around my closet. I try to take simple pieces and give them many looks. If you see something you like but don’t like the price, make an offer or bundle it to save 20% and save on shipping! There’s something for everyone 😀Happy Poshing!

jhayleza
jhayleza Thank you so much for this. I’ve been selling for a few months and didn’t realize my closet may not be poshmark compliant. I’ll get to cleaning it up! Thank you!
Jan 01Reply
starbabyonline
starbabyonline @jhayleza you're quite welcome! Yes, the skin care you have is not Posh-compliant. Those 2 pair of boots however, are really cute! I'm glad I could help. I am Debby & a Posh Mentor, so if you ever have any questions about buying or selling, please feel free to reach out to me either on this listing or on my Meet the Posher listing. If you have a question that you don't want a whole bunch of eyes on, you can always tag me on one of my sold listings. ⭐

jhayleza
jhayleza @starbabyonline thank you so much! I really appreciate it :) I’ve finished cleaning up my closet and everything should now be Poshmark compliant!
Jan 02Reply
starbabyonline
starbabyonline @jhayleza Yep, you are 100% compliant now! Congratulations. You are welcome to share this sign or make your own to put at the top of your closet. Being Posh-complaint will get you more shares now, which will equal more sales. I'll start off with some shares for you now. ⭐
Jan 02Reply
starbabyonline
starbabyonline @jhayleza and seriously, consider raising your prices. A $5 sale is only giving you $1.55 profit. People see a $5 piece and think something must be wrong with it, plus it gives you no wiggle room for any offers. Makes no sense, but you may have more eyes on your closet if you at least double (and maybe triple) those listing prices.

oneinamillionjj Sry I'm a day behind on my shares from yesterday, but I'm doing them now! Jillian
Jan 17Reply
starbabyonline
starbabyonline @oneinamillionjj there are no daily shares here. You share when you're able. Please don't ever feel pressured to share when you don't feel up to it. I don't even share from here every.
Jan 17Reply
starbabyonline
starbabyonline @oneinamillionjj and haha! I just realized you weren't even commenting on my Share Group. You must have gotten confused on my spoonie Share Group? Or someone else's Share Group?
Jan 17Reply

oneinamillionjj Oh sry, I meant from you being featured in our super posher game yesterday. I always over share each featured posher bcuz I never know how many ppl are playing & actually sharing.

starbabyonline
starbabyonline @mydisneyfund the screenshots are *from* Poshmark. People also try to sell furniture and animals on here, but that doesn't make it right.
Mar 04Reply
starbabyonline
starbabyonline @mydisneyfund and I've suggested that to them repeatedly. Just like when you get a pop-up when you try to share something to a party that doesn't fit the brand theme. Easy peasy coding fix. That creates most of the confusion and illegal listings.
Mar 04Reply
starbabyonline
starbabyonline @mydisneyfund sorry I misunderstood you.

lilimcweezie
lilimcweezie @jhayleza I agree with raising your prices but from a different angle, you're inviting people to resell your stuff, either here or in a different market. You can always lower it.

musicalblondie
musicalblondie Hi, I don’t mean to be rude at all but I’m a bit confused. Why are there categories to list items like home goods and skin care if they aren’t allowed? 🙄 I have bought and sold items in these categories and wasn’t aware that it could be a problem. Thanks...
Aug 29Reply
armykellyz
armykellyz @musicalblondie I think perhaps some of these things have not been updated to reflect the new poshmark. They used to not let you sell home goods you can now. Also I have sold unused sealed bath and bodyworks items had no clue I could not. Also I removed all my used once eyeshadow as it makes your closet not compliant when you list it . Meaning when you enter into parties your shop will not be considered for Host items I think
Apr 29Reply
starbabyonline
starbabyonline @armykellyz I've not been on Posh as much as I once was due to my chronic illness becoming worse over the past year and a half. Yes, you are correct, this listing was created way before Posh decided to become just another copy of e- Bay instead of the unique site it once was. That's why this listing has been buried down the bottom of my closet. When I feel up to it, it will be reworded.
May 02Reply
armykellyz
armykellyz @starbabyonline actually I found it very helpful. I was not coming for you at all and same chronic health issues here also. I just liked the photo and did nit realize I was selling things I was not supposed to. Thanks for the info!
