Adidas Superstar Hiking Sneakers

EUC The adidas Superstar is undeniably a basketball shoe turned street classic, but the brand has reimagined it for unconventional terrain. This is a hiking-inspired remake of the shelltoe, which sees some functional details added to it for off-road adventures. The Superstar’s original leather uppers are already fairly durable, but this edition sees fit to bolster its durability with suede eyestays, and more significantly, an extra abrasion guard on the both sides of the forefoot. This actually complements the rubber toe cap pretty well. The notion of rugged use is implied with the extra pull tabs on the tongue and lateral heel counter and metal eyelets on the top three holes. However, the most interesting addition to these shoes is the rippled outsole instead of the usual herringbone pattern. It looks like the tread has been adapted from heritage runners like the SL-72 or Dragon and grafted straight onto the bottoms. Furthermore, the black, teal and purple colourway harks back to the saturated shades of outdoor gear from yesteryear. Refer to pictures for wear and condition
