Especially notable is your statement that the price is firm; in that case there’s no need to talk about offers at all, let alone offers being too low. When the price is firm, any offer below that is by definition too low. It might make sense to disable offers to save everyone time.

mwjahnke @kimberlyle0515 But still it saves time to know even now that a firm price has been set; everyone can now understand why this listing seems to be well into its 5th year on Posh (reading the comments from most recent to oldest takes us to April 2016 as the start). One could speculate that the only way to reconcile the firm price and long history of comments is that the firm price was obscured so as to spark conversation as part of making offers.
