vacat @amytapacott That's so funny!!!! My husband and I were just laughing because he's trying to wire money to a friend in Dallas. When he set up an account at western union, he misspelled his own last name (Dudley, I kept my name when we got married). So it wouldn't go through. Then he got the live support person who told him he had to delete that account and start all over. It was such perfect timing to get your tag. These keyboards are jank!! (A term I learned from my goddaughter for all messed up.) I'll follow you!

carenhelm @vacat You know, I really got to know each person on my team and help them be the best they could be. One of the most gratifying things I accomplished was taking my team that was last in the rankings Nationally to #1 in 2 years. My team was my family while my husband was deployed and I do miss that connection. That and my executive assistant and technical resources at my disposal!!! We will just have to assembly the Poshmark dream team! Thanks for your support my friend....

Its true about Facebook - older people are using it to connect to their old high school friends. Kids are going back to texting and to Twitter. My husband is dragging me into the 21st century. Swore I wouldn't do any of it, but its actually fun. Also, started on Pinterest. Have a safe, fun vacation! Tell us all about it when you can!!!

vacat @closetgirls No! Never! Unless you know her very well, all transactions and conversations should take place on PM. If anything every goes wrong, PM can then access all communications. Did she accept the package? Did you get your funds?

vacat @closetgirls Ok, here's what I would do! Right or wrong??! Respond to her that you must keep all communications within PM. Ask why she must return. Here's why: the only reason to accept a return is if you misrepresented the item or shipped the wrong item!! Returns are not valid due to fit or color or buyers remorse. Get her reason before you say anything other than all communications must remain on PM. Offer nothing! She has three days to either accept or file a complaint with PM. If she files a complaint, it must be valid or PM will side with you. Check your tracking number (on the email you received from PM stating that you had shipped), that will tell you what day it was delivered. Remember, three days!!

vacat @closetgirls Don't know her!! I'd say stick to the rules! Wait to see how she responds to your last question (what's up?). Two sides to this coin. She may be trying to spare you bad info in your closet if there's anything wrong with the sweater that you didn't notice. Flip side, it doesn't fit and she wants to return. With that many followers, she should be reliable. Not to scare you, buuuut there are people who will get items, find they don't fit, know they can't return for that reason, then tear up the item and send pics to PM as justification! These are the scammers (flying monkeys) I warned you about earlier. She has lots of followers so I doubt she's a scammer. Politely, ask her "why do you need to return? The sweater is in excellent condition. I have ?# of photos showing the sweater from all angles." (Tip, take about 20 pics of everything so you can prove you did not send out a damaged item!) This is not normal. I'm sorry this is happening to you, but you do need more communication with her before you can proceed.

vacat @closet_finds Well that's that! If she files a complaint with PM, they will probably side with her - at least initially. Once you show photos of no stains or holes on what you sent they may decide to refund you some of your money or all. This gets very tricky, as the customer is always right with them - at least in the beginning. Then they do future research (may request pics from you) and make a final judgement. Right now, you have options: 1) let her file the complaint and see what happens, 2) just give her the refund she's asking for to just get rid of her, 3)let her return everything. Either way, block her once its over so you won't have to deal with this again. Used sweaters are going to have at least one tiny bit of pilling I don't care what anyone says! I've been in fashion for thirty years and that's just the nature of the beast! I had a somewhat similar episode. A woman bought a vintage gold tone necklace, described as such and forewarned that the pieces are old and will need cleaning and not not perfect. She accepted, but I stupidly asked for feedback (don't do that)! She wrote "the necklace is bad. Pics made it look good, but it is bad." I took it as an insult to my integrity since I am very careful with my photographs to make sure they are accurately depicting each item. When she asked for a refund, I just gave her the money told her to keep the necklace and then blocked her so she couldn't respond or buy from me again. Some people are just so picky. They expect used items to look brand new and usually they do. Everyone needs to remember that they are not paying anywhere near new price tho, so what's a little pilling really worth? The decision is totally yours. I always think its best to keep PM out of your business as it can reflect badly on you as a seller. However, if you know you're right stand your ground. Its a bad situation either way and I'm so sorry its happening to you! Look at this way - if you get over with, maybe that's your only problem maker! Everybody has to have one! They like to do this with new sellers, I think! Also, try to be a little nicer in your responses. No one likes to be accused of breaking the rules. I know she's angered you, but you will fair much better in this situation if your comments are overtly polite and caring.

closetgirls @vacat - she wants to return all of the items and then rebuy the ones she likes... but I gave her big discounts on all and paid a lot over on shipping (almost $8 I think) b/c it was such a heavy box... what do I do about that? I don't mind her sending them back... I just don't want to break any poshmark rules and I don't want to end up paying more in shipping than I receive for the three things she wants ...

vacat @closetgirls Well, you'll have to pay shipping anyway! The seller pays return shipping too!! You're probably better off eating this loss! Just write to PM and request a return label be sent to her, have her return everything! Tell her, quite politely, that you have written to PM and requested a return label to be sent to her and that its easiest to do a full refund so you need her to return the whole bundle. Once you get your items back, cancel the sale, then block her from your closet - drama over! Sounds drastic, but probably best way to stop the bleeding!!

closetgirls I think you're right @vacat - even the sale was painful to begin with... things I put $2 b/c of wear she wanted 1... $4 she wanted $2... I think it's best to eat the shipping I paid and just take it back and re-list it... but it does hurt my feelings just b/c I did take up close pictures of the fabric to show the wear and everything.... and these were very inexpensive items, too... thanks for all your advice. vacat @mrsdiva703 Actually, we've been married for almost 19 years!! Together 7 before that! I just gained the weight in the last ten! I'm alone with my three furry children now too! My husband is away on a business trip. You get used to it! I miss him terribly when he travels, but I've learned to make the best of it by enjoying my "me time." Giving myself facials, manis, pedis, shopping, lunch and/or dinner with girlfriends. Things you might not have time for especially in the evenings. That's the worst time to really miss him. Plus, just think of all the fun you'll have when he gets back! Love, respect, and spoil each other. That's the secret to a happy long marriage. You won't see the bad times coming (scrapbooks aren't filled with those pictures), they will just fly at you when you least expect it, but if you hang onto each other through those times your love will only deepen. Always be equals, be partners in all you do! Take it from an old (I mean OLD) married lady: they may be cliches, but cliches exist because they're true!!

cdiva917 Yes, I have planned like four girlfriend lunches, and went shopping today. I have spa apt next mon, but its just like NOW this hour.. im like choaked up because he isn't here. This is the FIRST time we been apart this long. Weekends here and there not so bad but TWO WEEKS! My goodness. I have lots of time, for I only work 7 out of the 14 days in a pay period, so I get my me time while he is here. Now I feel like he isn't here and I have no clue what to do with my time. As far as your tips, we do those three things (love, respect and spoil) to each other. He is an only child, and I am the baby girl so we knew we were both BRATS when the initial courtship happened. Being equals is our problem, yes we know we are a team but be both strive to be great, so we find ourselves competing over the smallest things, that starts arguments! (such silly arguments). You are not OLD! You are wise, beautiful and a lightly seasoned lady. I appreciate all the wisdom, and advice. You are a gem. I am in tears, cause I miss him so much. Just got off the phone with him, and we will video chat tomorrow. I can't believe how co dependent I have become.

Its difficult and I get lonely too, but remember that Elton John song "That's why they call it the blues"? Don't wish your time away. The days are too precious on this earth, even when he's away! What am I saying, you're probably too young to remember that song. In that case, download it and listen to it! You'll relate!

vacat @sarahjosephine Sarah, please don't let it terrify you!! Yes, it does happen. In my own humble opinion, about 98% of poshers are decent people with morals and values, 2% are here to get anything and everything for free! I call them flying monkeys. LOL. It seems that we all have to experience one of them at some point, unfortunately. Watch for lowball offers - that's usually a good sign that you're going to have trouble and yes, take tons of pics! I take probably 30-40 pics of most items just so I know I've got the item covered from every possible angle. I've met some ladies that videotape themselves wrapping and packaging items too. Luckily, most of my items are not real expensive pieces (except the gowns and St John), but it does happen on inexpensive ones too. I also suggest putting the apprx measurements in the description because if it doesn't fit, they can't blame you. Just take tons of pics and pray. Honestly, most people here are very kind and friendly, but watch out for the flying monkeys too. LOL. Any questions, just jump over to my Chat Room and we will work it out there.

marifun @vacat The reason I can't adopt cats is because my daughter and husband are allergic to them😔. My daughter loves animals and has considered being a veterinarian so I find it ironic that out of my 2 kids the one who loves animals is the one allergic to a lot of them. Luckily she is not allergic to the rescue dog we got a few months ago. I applaud 👏 your efforts and I will share your post. I also saw your post on Tinker_bell and am going to reach out to help. hausofhounds Hey lovely lady, I have a question for ya! I have a buyer who purchased from me but wants me to ship to a different address than what is on the Posh label. She wants me to cross it out on the label and write a different one. She says she has had a seller do that for her before and she received it just fine. The reason she is requesting this is because she lives on a military base and Posh will not recognize that address. What should I do?!

vacat @liimegreeen Well, that tracking number is specific to the address on file with PM. If it cannot be tracked as delivered, you won't get your funds. I think it's best to ask PM. Personally, I would ask her to correct her address and then I would request a new label.

hausofhounds That's exactly what I was thinking except she said that when sellers have done it for her before the tracking has still worked. She can't correct her address through Posh because it is an APO and Posh does not recognize those. I don't know, it's a mess!

vacat @liimegreeen She can correct her address to where she wants it delivered. If that's the military address, then what address did she put into PM system? Either way, this feels wrong. I say email PM and ask their advice. I'm sure they've handled this before. Just be sure to let her know that this will delay her shipment.

cdiva917 Look at that kindred spirit! Here I am! All is well, I am just working 70-80 hours/ week now with new job, and on travel alot. So I posh when I can, and don't let it upset me when I cant. Yes, I've seen those Euro guys with bellies hanging out over Speedos, oy vey!! I'm so happy for finding Poshmark.. I used to own a beautiful retail store (very upscale one of a kind customer home furnishings, accessories & lighting from all over the world) I sure missed my customers, the social interaction, meeting with vendors, going to all the trade shows, etc.. Lol, the "buying" for the store was always the BEST part!! Hubby was always telling me to ease up all the time! I used to write blogs on space planning & interior design, among other things for all of our customers to indulge in & as a way to bring in sales for our store :) But over the past 3-5 years so much has changed in the way of social media. If we're not "connected" it's like we've disconnected from everyone. Posh is by far the closest thing to having friendships among so many insightful women here💕. So glad you're a feline lover, that's the best part😻😻Well... Have a wonderful day & I'm going to Posh a bit now😊😊

vacat @mrsdiva703 Well obviously, but I think that keeps a lot of women from attending. They just don't have the time/energy to doll up for an EVENT! Many women I've chatted with didn't want to go to their local meet & greet parties because they feared they didn't have the expensive branded items to wear. That's too sad! It's about us getting to meet each other and just mingle, not a competition! I'm so happy this is a laid back one as it seems to be working. I've been told that the first DC party was a bust and hardly anyone showed. Yes, it will be a very long day for you!! Maybe you should just arrive in pjs and get dressed there! Wouldn't that be fun?! mcjayne @vacat sales used to be nuts great for me and then they slowed to a trickle...I honestly am quite positive I've spent way more on here than I've sold...whoever thought up posh is a genius...😳got me for sure. Please don't donate...beautiful clothing you have...I'm sure a lot of ladies are like me...struggling working as much as possible and with designer taste lol. I try to purchase two good designer quality items per season...you're closet really qualifies...honestly incredible items...when I add up how much in co pays to my oncologist I've spent (enough for a grande noe Lv lol) or how much in chemo prescriptions (a balenciaga vachetta leather satchel) oh...I could go on...I can honestly only laugh now and drool over incredible closets like yours. You have truly beautiful taste and you are a classic beauty yourself.💖

Oh I'm probably just smack talking about donating. I do that every time sales slow way down. It's really just not that important to me. I love the community here and the selling is fun. It's just that I, like yourself I'm sure, know there's waaaay more important things in life. Every now and again I take a few days off just to get my priorities right. Come back and visit anytime. Taking days off posh is soooo good for you at times...it's easy to get lost in everyone's comings and goings and drama too (although that can be fun to read about...sometimes...lol. Yeah sales can get frustrating at times...and then I get pleasantly surprised and things that have been sitting around for a while sell when I least expect it...I will be stopping by a lot! I'm absolutely enamored with your incredible closet💖

It makes me think "thank you Lord, she's feeling good enough to be on here for at least awhile!" Now, I am so grateful to you for adopting a grown cat, especially adopting a black cat. The name is wonderful. I'm incredibly flattered! Kim, you just made my night. I visited a monastery last week to pick up some of their chocolates and fruit cake. I was greeted by a big beautiful black cat. When I told the monk that most people didn't like black cats, his immediate response (remember - a monk) was "most people are just stupid!" We are making progress and thanks to people like you who are willing to open their hearts to black cats, we just may get there one day. Thank you Kim😘😘😘💐😻😻😻

kimsthings I love the story of the monk. I could not agree with him more. 😃 I woke yesterday and just knew it was the day our new baby was out there waiting for us. We are so in love and he is so happy and loving!!!! I never wavered about our next kitty would be black and grown after I read about it from you. So thank you Holly!!!! Your namesake is a huge blessing to my family and very loved. Home for his first Christmas in a real home. ❤️

styl1stcloset @carenhelm Tumblr is for the I generation (younger than millennials) and it’s used by musicians etc as another social app to reach that demographic - but there are people who don’t mind to host their blog there bc it’s free. Personally I think it’s best for ancillary clock backs to your dot com. Anyway if you need help Lmk!

styl1stcloset would personally recommend a FB profile for your closet and in this way you can join posh groups in fb very helpful. And poss insta but it’s sticky bc you cant sell you want to only advertise and from what I see on insta it’s a lot of “I shop at Salvation Army and then up sell” .. not my kinda thing but whatever floats your boat!!
