We acquired this baby rocker in 2020 for my youngest granddaughter. She loved it & spent quite a bit of time in it. At times she would fall asleep in it; we would turn it off & just let her sleep. It does have a light stain shown in one of the photos, and is missing the plastic arm that you attach at the top from which fabric balls would hang. It wasn't working properly and we disposed of it in case it became dangerous somehow. See last photo to see where it was attached. You can use just the motion, just the sounds or any combination of both sound and motion. As mentioned earlier, this was purchased in 2020. In 2022, the company recalled it because of the danger to a crawling infant getting tangled in the straps that hung down under the device. We ordered & installed the item that the company provided to product purchasers to ensure that this possibility is made impossible. So this product is now as safe as the ones that were manufactured later than 2020. It must be plugged in. It's not battery operated.
