40's Warming Dish Porcelain Ceramic Baby / Childs Bowl

Delightful porcelain cereal sized bowl attached to a metal warm water holder complete with screw on lid and collapsible handles. This sweet little bowl is designed to keep the victuals at an appetizing temperature for the little ones. Bowl has an adorable inside design: "The Clock Struck One, the Mouse Ran Down, Hickory Dickory Dock" with an accompanying charming character depiction of the famous nursery tale. Bowl measures 6" diameter x 2-1/2" depth. Marked GW Co. for the German Manufacturer. Metal is Excello chromium, USA. Nice vintage condition free of chips, cracks or crazing. Very light usage wear with the inside design still intact; the metal is in sound condition with some naturally occuring cosmetic usage patina consistent of a pre-owned piece of its nature and time. Estimated to be from the 1940's.
