I wanted to comment sooner, but my dad passed away right after Thanksgiving from Dementia, which was horrifying, & I am still reeling from the experience & loss. I have so many idols here. This community supported me like nothing I could have expected or dreamed of when I needed it the most. I wish I could idolize everyone who helped, but I'd fill up your entire post!❤️❤️

My dad passed at the worst time of the year; between the holidays, during which time his absence was so acute, it was as if each celebratory moment was turned inside out within me, and became a moment of mourning; and my need to sell on PM in order to pay my bills, when I had to suppress my sorrow and posh on, I am just beginning to truly grieve now.(cont)

rmccouture @mixedbrew It hurts so much to know that I will not see him again in this lifetime. I know that he is not gone. Energy cannot be created or destroyed. We are all energy, and his is free from the prison his body became, and I can reach it and feel his spirit, once I am passed the physical loss. I lost my mom when I was 11, so he was really the only parent I ever knew. (cont)

rmccouture @mixedbrew I feel lost and frightened without him. The part that is feeling the most pain is the little girl inside of me, whose worst fear was to lose her dad after losing her mom. The grown woman I am has been powerless to prevent the little one from feeling like the world is no longer safe without her dad to protect her.(cont)

I have faith that between his fine parenting & God's strength you will be able to endure all the emotions and feelings swirling through you. My dad has been gone eleven years and it still hits me hard some days.

Your inner child that feels scared and alone has a strong brave outer woman to hold her and tell her it will all work out. My dad leaving this earth and going onto to his next journey & leaving me here was the most difficult part of my entire life. I too believe his energy lives on. It's a good feeling to know. rmccouture @kitty2528 Hey Townley. Yes, the cat that I had to free from his bodily pain was the same cat who I had mentioned last month. I'm devastated, and spent the last few hours moving a shed I have converted into a feral cat shelter to my window, so that I can feed the cats from inside of my house without the neighbors complaining about it. I totally hurt myself doing it, but needed to do something in Apollo's name (cont)

rmccouture @kitty2528 Had I not rescued him & his sister when they were kittens, he would have been just like those cats outside, so I felt it was a proper tribute (although it was stupid of me to move it alone. The pain was just too great for me to sit with, so I had to do something physical. I suppose that I may have physically injured myself subconsciously so that the heartbreak was overshadowed by my bodily pain... but I think it was more of an endorphin rush than anything else) (cont)

rmccouture @kitty2528 As far as the combs go- PLEASE DON'T QUITE THE GROUP BECAUSE OF THE HEAD'S UP! I was the one who pointed out combs being sold in someone else's closet. I had looked into combs, brushes and non-electric curlers a while back to see if they were compliant. I wrote to Poshmark on 10/25 about it, and this was their reply, "Thank you for your email. At this time, hair products such as hair rollers, brushes and combs are not allowed on the platform." (cont)

We want to let people know if they are inadvertently selling something that can be removed by Poshmark, which prevents them form cohosting parties & becoming ambassadors. If someone reported your listing, it would be removed, and there would be a mark on your record. rmccouture @kitty2528 Someone told me that they were not compliant, and I was furious. I wrote to PM, and they were right! Because I reached out about the pens before PM took them down, I was allowed to remove them before I was given a negative "caution" mark on my record. Do I think it makes sense that PM allows decorative combs to sold, and purse compacts, but not purse combs? No, I don't! (cont)

rmccouture @kitty2528 If I were you, I would mark the listing as NFS, & write to PM, explaining that purse combs are no different from compacts. They are both intended to be used as accessories in the purse to aid in beautifying women on the go. That's how I got them to accept my empty purse perfume spray bottle. (cont)

I am Not a By The Rules Person To begin with...Second..It is Common sense that if you Use a Vintage Purse, you will have a Vintage Compact, Brush, Comb, Hand Mirror inside. I also don’t think of 1980-2000... as being Vintage...but I went along with the program...I try and make friends etc...but I am too old to put up with petty mess.
