1970s Japanese stoneware teapots are among my favorite teapots to use. They are decorative and utilitarian and mix well with people who are earthy, or have Feng Shui style homes.
This Japanese grey stoneware teapot is a bulging round shape with a well made rattan handle over thick wire. The white splatter glaze blends into the grey stoneware in a muted fashion. The bold bamboo design in black glaze accents the front side of the teapot.
Large in size, the body of the teapot is "6 or 15 cm wide. With the spout, it is 7 1/2" or 19 cm wide. With the handle, it is 8" or 21 cm tall.
The entire teapot is in pristine clean like new condition with no scratches, cracks, chips, or repairs. The handle is in perfect shape. The only slight imperfection is a tiny bit of glaze wear on the spout. The teapot is not signed.
