Vintage Peter Piper velour shortalls and dress shirt with socks possibly altered

Mid century brown velour shortalls with cream button down shirt and socks. Minor wear on velour nap as expected with age and hole in toe of one sock. It appears the legs may have been shortened at one point or the hem repaired because the hemming looks homemade. Buttons on right side typically for boys but this style could easily be unisex.
