Excellent condition for age There are some tiny dark spots on surface, like grim, that I've never been able to clean off. I always did a light clean/wipe to avoid damaging the surface. These bowls are extremely hard to find. I see other Spode Fancies a couple of times each year (e.g., cabbage bowls, pitchers) - I've not seen the Lotus Bowls since I got these except a Lotus vegetable bowl (straight sides) every couple of years. Spode also made a Lotus Vegetable Bowl, where the top rim does not fold in I used these as trinket bowls (e.g., jewelry, hair ties) on my dresser.
