@oldbaglady_dani awww, these rainy days can be rather gloomy, exacerbating whatever we're going through, but I try to emulate my sister who lives in Stockholm (where days tend to be gloomy for the better part of lonnnggg winter days)...they light candles throughout their flats from morning 'til night, playing music & baking, aromatherapy, always using best china for absolutely every bit of grazing throughout the day, yep, even that cut-up apple! Copius amounts of tea (in lovely china, bien sur!)

@oldbaglady_dani face masks with eggs and oatmeal if out of your fav products, pampering for days, essentially...doing whatever you SHOULD"VE been doing for yourself to create a lovely and loving environment for yourself that basically embraces the gloom, thereby turning the weather (and/or the actual dejected mood) around....sounds rather simplistic, but these daily rituals, born out of necessity throughout the centuries, have enabled the population to endure and actually love the season!

@oldbaglady_dani So, I apply these measures, not just on rainy days like today, but rainy days of the soul, when I'm feeling down. Even though you know that "this too shall pass", giving yourself the extra bit of me-time def helps to assuage whatever the temporary mood may be. Oh, they consume tons of fav books and film, phone time and anything else that creates harmony. Contrary to what we've all heard, the Swedes love the winter, as it forces them to decompress. We could take a page! xox

I never really got it going, as I’ve got tons of “good stuff” to list but just cannot get to it…I keep telling myself to gear up & just do it, but what I really need is a kindergartener who’s far more savvy, tech-wise, than me, and can crank out the pix & postings wayyyy faster!!! 😄🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️

@oldbaglady_dani Would love to hear about UZIT. I love Reiki and yoga but am not familiar with UZIT. Where have you taught yoga? We were basically ships crossing, as I was leaving the city proper around the time you were beginning your career and mine was transitioning. I’m 64, so I’m assuming I’ve got you by close to 3-ish decades based on your stunning pics. Your handle tells me you’re downtown of course…

@oldbaglady_dani awesome...love the UWS! After my first apt, I was at the Apthorp (dreaming that it was mine, but it was a sublet...it's condo and untouchable, but perchance to dream). I remember years of walking past it, fantasizing about living there, and one day in the middle of my "starving actor" days, a place happened when the artist who owned it went overseas. A dream, ever so brief. (believe it or not, when I first moved to NY, your neighborhood was considered "dangerous"...bwah, ha, ha!
