James Avery very rare vintage Creation Cross, solid sterling, pristine condition

This is a rare treasure indeed! It is an exceptionally detailed Creation Cross depicting various symbols of the birth of Christianity. It is a finely crafted large pendant done in solid .925 sterling silver, designed by James Avery. For those who may not know, he was trained as an industrial designer and enjoyed designing and creating silver jewelry based on Christian symbols as a hobby. Word of his beautiful pieces and fine workmanship spread quickly and he decided to devote himself to the craft. His crosses have been the mainstay of his many offerings. He died in 2018. This Creation Cross is considered by collectors to be his finest. Few were created, and the design was retired. This one has been nestled in its felt pouch, in the original box since its purchase in the early ‘80’s. Never worn or handled except to take photos today. It is truly a piece of art, a family heirloom, a statement. Absolutely pristine, new condition.
