Dated 1966 Silverplate Enamel Charm - LOVE by Robert Indiana

If you made it through the 1960s then you are going to immediately recognize this design. LOVE by Robert Indiana (1928 - 2018) – US-American painter and main exponent of Pop and Signal Art. Made in Japan in 1967 for the Indianapolis Museum of Art, the piece is dated 67.08 on the reverse. The charm measures 3/4" wide x 13/16" high (not including the bale); weight is 4.8 grams. Very fine condition with no problems I can spot. It's just perfect. The design is so iconic, it was even made into a postage stamp. The original oil on canvas sold in 2018 for 3.5 million dollars - the charm I offer now has pricing ranging from 500 Pounds Sterling to $999 on the auction site. Apparently this charm is most definitely a rare find - the ultimate in LOVE for a charm bracelet!
