Black Vintage Velvet Burnout Beaded Straight Skirt With Peacock Motif

Black, straight burnout velvet skirt with beautiful beaded peacock design on both the front and back. Hemline is trimmed with beaded fringe. The material is sheer in some some areas, but no slip is needed as it is lined. There are reds and greens in the velvet flowers, which are hand beaded and the peacock is beaded with golds and blues. This skirt in very good condition. While researching this skirt, I found out that it is made from an Indonesian scarf. Another Posher replied to my post on Reddit with the following information: As a scarf - It was probably made/imported by Ethos in downtown LA (916 Santee St, Los Angeles, CA 90015) and the label was sewn in by a company that bought in bulk and rebranded. It's quite possible this was a scarf turned into a skirt by Ethos or a company they sold to, but it also may have been done by a person who purchased it as a scarf and then converted it themselves. Either way, the craftsmanship of sewing is very professional. Nothing about it suggests "homemade." There are no size or care tags so please see pictures for full measurements. I am guessing it would fit a small to small/medium person. As with most velvet and beaded items, this should be dry cleaned. No stains or tears.
