He was a Japanese ceramist well known for his made for export works of people, animals and characters and his hallmark looks like the peace symbol within a circle. This piece is circa 1920s and is a charming collectible. Crafted in Japan, this hand-painted shaker features a delightful depiction of an elderly woman in a rocking chair.
