Vintage Celtic Design Sterling Silver Brooch by Robert Allison. Hallmarked

This is a fine vintage 1960s Celtic Style Sterling Silver Brooch. It has been designed by the celebrated Scottish silversmith, Robert Allison - and takes the form of a circular shield or Scottish targe. The pattern is made up of interlaced knotwork. It is marked with the maker's initials on the reverse RA and has a British hallmark - as photographed. It is also stamped: Scotland It has a locking c-clasp catch, as shown, The catch and pin is nice and secure. The tip of the pin is nice and sharp. The diameter of the brooch is just over 1 1/4 inches (3.5 cm). It is sold in nice vintage condition - clean and all shiny.
