RENE LALIQUE CRYSTAL HAND CUT SAILING CLIPPER SHIP COLLECTOR PLATE

Lalique Sailing Ship Crystal Luncheon Plate. The heavy crystal art clear and frosted Intaglio etched glass depicts a sailing clipper ship in full sail. The frosted glass is etched in from below. The interior of the plate is flat. The base has a rope type edge. Notice the detail in the rigging and sail. The largest sail has a cross shape in the center. "Lalique France" is etched on the back of the plate. The design, which maybe one of Christopher Columbus', ships engulfs the entire plate. Perfect for the sailor or history buff. Exceptional plate in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, some minor wear. Any imperfections are from the firing/manufacturing process. There are some air bubbles in the glass that were created during the manufacturing. Appropriately signed Lalique France. Authentic Lalique Crystal. 8.5" diameter across top 6.25" base .75" high
