Colorful quilt done by the piece in the stars and in a cable design in the border. Hand quilted at approx 6 Stitches per inch. This quilt is a little piece of history with its sweet yellow binding on its edge and each star holding a name signature. In excellent antique condition, w some stains as seen in the photos, a sweet keepsake bringing interest to any room. This comes from an extensive collection stored in a temperature friendly, clean, smoke free & pet free home. Approx 90 x 78

melangealee @werdrederty456 Hi. I tried to show any damage or staining on the photos. I have not done any repairs myself to this item. It has some but minimal discoloration and staining as expected for an antique piece due to its age but overall is in excellent condition.

melangealee @gramfam4 Hello! My mom was an avid collector but has recently passed away. I am trying to sell some of them to help my dad as she collected so many over her lifetime. She only purchased, never sold. Lol. So unfortunately, we are not looking to purchase as we are already overwhelmed with the collection at hand. Thank you.

vintageaffairla This is Fabulous! Known as a "Friendship Quilt" with those sweet signatures! Back in the day perhaps a Ladies Church group or a Rotary Club would individually do a square, then a master quilter would piece and quilt together. Sometimes it was a Family quilt too with Signatures. Is it dated by chance? Lovely piece of history! Condolences on the loss of your Mom;))

My mom loved these signed Friendship quilts. I don't believe it had any but I plan to go back and look closer. She has such an extensive collection, I wish I knew more specifically about each piece but your kind message and information is so valuable and helpful. Thank you so much!

casastsomewhere This is a lovely quilt, one of the signs of a quality quilt is the stitches, the tinier the better. This quilt was obviously made with love by very good quilters, tiny straight stitches. I liked it because I too have my mothers quilts which I will pass on to my children. The one I have is called a mountain star similar but not exact match to your pattern but if you check the pattern out you'll find the name of this star.

tracy1658 @melangealee my grandma was in a quilting club and each member would make a square like the other lady said. Some dated them some signed them and then when the quilt was finished they would draw names for whoever hadn’t won one yet. This is beautiful.
