cbanteeker The 925 mark wasn't used until the 1970s. I believe that this pretty ring is a repro.

maxwellestate @cbanteeker 100% Wrong!! you need to study up on that. Many 1800s items are marked with 925. Go to hallmark history in your search and get a life !

lilydeathvalley @cbanteeker the 925 mark was first used back in the latter part of the 1800s 👍🏼

maxwellestate @lilydeathvalley In reality, it was actually before but, I'm not interested in semantics. I've been studying since the early 1980s on true jewelry history. It's kind of like a lot of things these days. A lot of history is where you learn. 925-1000 dot com is a great source. I appreciate you having my back though 💞

lilydeathvalley @maxwellestate It was absolutely well before before the 1970’s either way 🙃 I’m by no means an expert (at all) but I grew up in a jewelry store so I know one or two things. You definitely can handle your own 🤭 but it’s ridiculous for people to pop on and say the 1970s for absolutely no reason 💚
